MILES AUSTIN CASUAL COOL

I was stoked to run into my favorite NFL wide receiver, Miles Austin, between clients yesterday. The handsome and polite Dallas Cowboys rocked casual cool attire in True Religion jeans and a grey tee, need some styling assistance for shoes. I of course recognized him and chatted a bit about Dallas, Da Bears, and how Austin led my fantasy football team. Ladies his bright blue eyes and Colgate smile made me forget half of my NFL stats to flaunt.

Sadly, I couldn't accommodate his size- 13 (insert big feet jokes here), but I sent him to my favorite sneaker shop in Los Angeles- Undftd.

Miles did enjoy these sneakers from HeyDay and enjoys Creative Recreations.

OSCAR 2010 BREAKDOWN: THE TRENDS, FAVES, AND THE PURGATORY

Sandra Bullock in Marchesa
Last night was tinsel town's biggest night with 82nd Annual Academy Awards! Congrats to all the winners, but let's get down to why everyone watched, THE FASHION.

Here is a breakdown of the best, the lost in translation, and fashion purgatory.

OSCAR TRENDS:

Silver and metalic hues were a huge trend on the red carpet. Sandra in a VC Style favorite, Marchesa, looked stunning in metallic floral detail and was the perfect winner.

Kathryn Bigelow, Best Director Winner, in Yves Saint Laurent with Boucheron jewels.

Elizabeth Banks in Versace and could have used a snowflake necklace. Cheers to Helen Mirren who knows how to dress age appropriate with the sheer sleeves. Kate in YSL looking flawless.

BEST DRESSED OF THE OSCARS: DEMI

Demi Moore was my absolute favorite in this blush Atelier Versace number. She stole the show!
GAMBLE THAT TURNED INTO A WINNER: RACHEL

Rachel McAdams pushed the envelop with this Elie Saab.

MOST IMPROVED: KRISTEN

Kristen Stewart FINALLY got it together and looked perfect and fashion forward in this fierce midnight blue Monique Lhuillier.

TRENDS: Black women in BLUE! Other stars who capitalized on the blue theme Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, and Oprah.

Gabourey in Marchesa. I like where was she was going, but still looks awkward!

OSCARS IN PURGATORY:

Maggie Gyllenhaal is always a little bit off fashion-wise and did it once again with this fresh off the runway, Dries Van Noten with Fred Leighton jewels. I do love the fact that she's is not classically beautiful, but her and her hubby look amazing. The dress was just too luau and not enough Oscar.

Zoe Salanda is so beautiful and is one of my red carpet favorites, but this dress was bi-polar! Zoe wore Givenchy Haute Couture. It looks great on top, but the bottom train is a mess! Go sparks, go strapless, go color, but not all together. Nice attempt, but C for CONFUSING!

THE BEST OF THE REST

Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan

Paula Patton in Caroline Herrerra

THE BEST LOOKING MAN IN THE WORLD

Along the lines of Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man in the World," I present the "Best Looking Man in the World," aka Tom Ford.

Here the designer/director is looking daper, handsome, and perfect wearing himself at the Independent Sprit Awards.

HAUTELOOK DRESS SUCCESS

I'm always paranoid of shopping online especially when the return policy is lacking, but I was pleasantly surprised with my recent purchase from Hautelook.com. I needed a basic black dress for personal styling at Bloomingdale's. I found this cute dress from LinQ during the Hautelook sale for $57.00 normally $128. It fits really well and I paired it with a turquoise necklace from Lia Sophia, to add texture a suede black belt from Toast, and Black shiny wedges from Paolo.

NOTE: Hautelook only offers store credit unless the clothing is damaged, so be sure you really want your purchase. I have to admit the customer service representative service had a lot to be desired. Hautelook has amazing sales, so I will continue to shop regularly.

Enjoy!
